CEDAR GROVE - The Cedar Grove Town Council held its annual reorganization meeting on Wednesday night swearing in three councilmen and selecting the mayor and deputy mayor for the upcoming year.  

Newly elected council members Kerry Peterson and Robbie Vargo were sworn in for their first terms of office.  Judge John Zunic administered the oath to Peterson and Mayor Peter Tanella swore in Vargo.

Councilman Joseph Cicala was sworn in for his first full term.  He was elected in November to fill a seat left vacant upon the resignation of Joseph Chiusolo.  Cicala was also elected Deputy Mayor by the council and sworn in by Tanella.  

Tanella was nominated to continue as mayor by Cicala.  The vote passed with only one negative vote from Councilman Harry Kumburis.  Tanella was sworn in by former Senator Kevin O'Toole.
