Cedar Grove Swim A Thon 2017

The Cedar Grove Swim Team's annual Swim-A-Thon is Friday, July 21 from 8-10pm. This year the team will be swimming for The Jorn Family and The Crowell Family.  Participation in the Swim-A-Thon is for members of the Cedar Grove Panthers swim team only and will be held when the pool is closed to the public. Only the meet lanes will be open. There will be lifeguards on duty and coaches will be supervising. Swim Parents are welcome to stay, and swimmers will be given refreshments free of charge.

Michael Jorn is a long time resident of Cedar Grove, head of the Water Department, on the volunteer fire dept., a Marine veteran and contractor.  Stan Crowell “The Electric Man” is  also a long time resident of Cedar Grove. He is also the former Fire Chief of the Cedar Grove Fire Department, currently a volunteer on the Fire Dept.  All of his children are former swimmers on the Cedar Grove Swim Team. He is the father of three and grandfather of two.

These two firefighters have given so much to Cedar Grove. Let’s give back in a big way.
Anyone wishing to contribute to this worthy cause may do so in a variety of ways: sponsor a local swimmer who will be participating in the event; contact to find a swimmer to sponsor or to make a donation; or stop by the pool during the Swim-A-Thon to make a contribution. The final check will be presented to Jorn and Crowell Families at the Cedar Grove Swim Team end-of-season party on Thursday, July 27.
