CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Cedar Grove resident Robert Cunniff was honored by the Cedar Grove Town Council at its meeting Monday night for his years of scouting service and volunteerism in the community.  Cunniff recenlty stepped down as scout master.

Councilman Joseph Cicala read a proclamation thanking Cunniff for his service both to the scouts and the community.  

According to the proclamation issued by the council, "Robert Cunniff's longest and most passionate service has been with the Boy Scout Organization and the various Boy Scout positions he has held over the past 25 years both regionally and locally."

Cunniff served as Pack 2 Cedar Grove Cub Scout Master from 2004-2011, Troop 65 Cedar Grove Assistant Scout Master 2009-2013 and Troop 65 Scout Master from 2013-2017.  

In addition to his 25 years of service to the Boy Scout Organization, Cunniff has served the township on the Environmental Commission, Open Space Trust Fund Committee and as a recreation soccer coach.
