Cedar Grove will kick off the holiday season with its annual tree lighting on December 5 in front of town hall.  This year marks the 50th anniversary of this holiday tradition and Santa Clause will be on hand to greet the kids.

The event will feature crafts for kids, live wooden soldiers, elves who face paint, do balloons, tattoos and give out cotton candy.  Cedar Grove High School choir will sing everybody's favorite holiday carols.  Refreshments will include fresh popcorn, munchkins, zeppoles and hot chocolate.

Attendees can also participate in a contest by guessing how many candies are in a jug.  The closest guess will keep the jug and win a gift certificate.
