Celebrate Christmas in July at the Cedar Grove Pool on Saturday


CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Cedar Grove Pool is once again celebrating Christmas in July -- what has become an annual summer tradition.  The celebration is this Saturday at the pool with the first activities beginning at 11 a.m.  The event is open to pool members only, though members can bring guests for the standard guest fee.

Schedule of events is:

11 a.m. Christmas Ring Toss Relays (Basketball Courts)
12 p.m. Toy Hunt (Baby Pool)
1 p.m. Present Stacking Relay Races
2 p.m. Santa Visits
3 p.m.  Christmas Cookie Decorating Contest (make the cookies at home and bring them to the pool to be judged)

Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the races and contests.

In addition, Miele's snack bar will offer a special Christmas menu including:

  • Lobster Roll and Fries
  • Sausage Hoagie with Green and Red Peppers
  • Roasted Turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy on a toasted roll with sweet potato fries
  • Dessert:  funnel cake with chocolate sauce and ice cream
  • Special Drink:  Red and Green Frozen Daiquiries

On April 19, 2018 at 12:44 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation revealed that the driver, a 61 year old male from West Orange, had a suspended license and an outstanding traffic warrant.
