MILLBURN, NJ – Cedar Grove hit the road Saturday defeating Millburn 28-14 and improving the Panther record to 4-1.

The Panthers took the lead in the second quarter when quarterback and TAPinto Verona/Cedar Grove’s Panther Athlete of the Week Nick Zecchino made a 60-yard touchdown pass to Evidence Njoku, putting Cedar Grove up 7-0.  Millburn answered quickly with a 12-yard pass from quarterback John Serruto to Peter Surruto to tie up the game.

The Panthers took back the lead when Njoku ran 85-yards on a kickoff return for a Cedar Grove touchdown.  Two additional touchdowns by J.J. Snyder and Dan DiPrenda gave the Panthers a 28-7 lead at the half.

Millburn scored again in the fourth quarter, but was unable to catch the Panthers who won the game 28-14.

Cedar Grove hosts West Side on Friday at 7 p.m.
