RAMSEY, NJ – A second quarter touchdown pass by Zack Zaccone to Robert Coppola, gave Verona its first win of the season, 7-6 over Ramsey Friday night.

Ramsey answered with a touchdown by Chris Frohlich in the third quarter, but the Rams missed the extra point.

Zaccone left the game at the end of the second quarter due to injury and junior C.J. Lavery took over at quarterback.  The Rams had two chances to take the lead in the second half, but the Hillbillies defense held them off.
