VERONA, NJ - Essex County election officials confirmed today that Lisa Freschi was re-elected to the Verona Board of Education for a second term.

Last week's unofficial results showed Freschi had won by just 10 votes.  After a review of provisional ballots, election results show Freschi received 1,710 votes to Connor McCann's 1,699 votes, with Freschi having 10 confirmed provisional ballots to McCann's nine.  A provisional ballot cannot be counted until election officials confirm that the voter was properly registered to vote.
