CEDAR GROVE, NJ – With 15 points and five rebounds, junior Alyssa Lever helped lead Cedar Grove to a 51-32 win over Golda Och at home on Thursday.

Cedar Grove led 9-4 at the end of the first quarter and came out even stronger in the second, scoring 20 points to Gold Och’s five.  Gold Och tried to battle back in the second half and outscored the Panthers in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to claim the win.

Junior Elyse Fearon had seven points and eight rebounds for Cedar Grove and sophomore Kelly Toomey added seven points and grabbed six rebounds in the win.

Leia Kessler led Golda Och with 25 points.

The win improves the Panthers to 6-5 overall.  They were scheduled to take on West Side on Saturday but the game has been canceled due to weather concerns.  The next scheduled game is Tuesday at home at 4 p.m. against Parsippany Hills.
