SUMMIT, NJ - Maggie Lonsinger had four goals and one assist to lead the Verona Hillbillies girls lacrosse team to a 13-9 victory over Kent Place in Summit on Saturday.

The first half was tightly contested, ending with a 7-6 Verona advantage.  However the Hillbillies came out strong in the second half, outscoring Kent Place 6-3 to clinch the win.

Emily Coppola had three goals and one assist, while CC Courter tallied two goals and two assists for Verona.  Allie Madigan found the back of the net twice for the Hillbillies.  Ashley Nigro and Jenna Starank each added a goal for Verona, while Julia Mackey had an assist.

Goalie Skyler Freedman had 13 saves for the Hillbillies.

The win improves the squad to 3-1 for the season.  Verona hosts Morris Knolls on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
