VERONA,NJ - Ava Anderson and Dana Pena tallied five goals each to lead the No. 4 seed Verona Hillbillies to a 17-4 victory over the No. 5 seed Caldwell in the quarterfinal round of the Essex County Tournament on Saturday in Verona.

The Hillbillies dominated from the start, outscoring Caldwell 8-2 in the first half and 9-2 in the second.  Erin Kiernan scored three times for the Hillbillies, while CC Courter found the back of the net twice and Julia Mackey and Giuliana Frizzi each chipped in goal for Verona.

Goalie Ashley Kenneally had 10 saves for Verona.

Verona will take on the winner of the No. 1 seed Glen Ridge vs. No. 8 seed Newark Academy in the semifinals on Saturday.
