VERONA, NJ – TAP into Verona/Cedar Grove recognized her volleyball achievements back in October, when she was named Hillbilly Athlete of the Week.  Now Carly Waterman has gained national attention by being named as one of the top-79 sophomore volleyball players in the United States by 

Waterman racked up 366 kills during the 2015 season, which ranks fourth in the state and had 127 aces and 39 digs.  As a freshman, Waterman broke Verona’s single-season kills and then broke her own record as a sophomore.  In addition she has already broken the school career kills record to go down in Verona athletic history.

Her performance in the 2015 season earned her All-Conference and All-Group honors. She was named to the  All-Conference first team for the American Division and was also selected to the All-Group 1 first team.
