WEST ORANGE, NJ – Verona-Glen Ridge topped St. Rose-Donovan Catholic 3-1 at the Essex County Holiday Tournament at Codey Arena on Saturday.

Owen Gleeson kicked things off for Verona-Glen Ridge, scoring twice in the first period.  Jake Kuhn also found the back of the net, giving Verona-Glen Ridge a 3-0 lead at the end of the first and they never looked back.

Michael Vendittoli put St. Rose-Donovan Catholic on the board with 4:51 left in the third period, but it was too little too late.

In the net for Verona-Glen Ridge, Liam Blaney stopped 45 shots, while Will Lemonie made 17 saves for St. Rose.

Verona-Glen Ridge will take on Passaic Valley-Cedar Grove on Sunday at 5:15 p.m. at Floyd Arena in Little Falls.
