WEST ORANGE, NJ - Verona/Glen Ridge used a strong second period to shut out Nutley/Columbia 2-0 at Codey Arena in West Orange on Sunday.

Jake Kuhn scored first on an assist from Sean DeCandia with 14:35 left in the second period.  Armaan Rigby's goal was assisted by Alec Vecchione with just under six minutes left in the second period.   

In the net for Verona/Glen Ridge, Colin Gilmore made 15 saves to earn the shutout.

Johnny Matrona made 37 saves for Nutley-Columbia.

The win improves Verona/Glen Ridge to 3-1-4 for the season.  They take on Montclair on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at Clary Anderson Arena in Montclair.
