Interfaith Thanksgiving Service Nov. 22

VERONA, NJ - A longstanding Verona tradition will be revived this year by the clergy leaders of six of Verona's houses of worship by hosting an Interfaith Thanksgiving service at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church located at 32 Lakeside Ave. and will feature a joint choir including Our Lady of the Lake and First Presbyterian Church of Verona.   

The service will include scripture readings from both Jewish and Christian traditions, as well as music related to Thanksgiving.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Montclair Human Needs Pantry.

For further information contact any of the clergy leaders a the participating houses of worship:  Congregation Beth Ahm, First Congregational Church of Verona, Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, Verona United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church of Verona and Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.
