CEDAR GROVE, NJ - A man from Queens, NY was arrested after jaywalking on Ridge Road in Cedar Grove Thursday morning.

Patrolman Raymond Cassella stopped the suspect around 9 a.m. when he failed to use a crosswalk when crossing the road.  Further investigation revealed the 21-year-old man had marijuana on him and he was arrested for possession.  He was also charged with hindering apprehension by providing a false name, according to police reports.

The suspect was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
