CEDAR GROVE, NJ — The Cedar Grove Fire Department and Recreation Department will co-host Junior Firefighter Day on Sunday, Aug. 16 at Community Park.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., boys and girls entering grades K-6 will receive a punch card that can be filled by participating in a range of activities, including a hose pull and relays. 

Each child will receive a medal after completing the activities. The event also will include a fire truck wetdown and a live DJ. The games and activities offered will require little or no contact, and hand sanitizer breaks will be available whenever needed.

Kids should wear sneakers to participate in stations. Kids should have a towel and wear either sandals or water shoes for the wetdown.
