JERSEY CITY, NJ – Students from Cedar Grove and Verona were recently recognized for academic achievement at St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City.  Principal James C. DeAngelo announced that students were awarded Honor Pins for the school year 2014-2015 as well as Gold and Silver medals in various subjects.  Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and no individual semester grade lower than a B received pins.  The following local residents were recognized:

Cedar Grove:  Sean Regan, '16, James McGuire, '17, Matthew Russo, '17, Daniel Brown, '18, Matthew Marini, '18, and Ashon Stewart, '18 earned Honors.

Verona:  Matthew Dillane, '16, David Biron, '17, Kyle Carlee, '17, Owen Freeman, '17, Daniel Liggio, '17, Christopher Lonergan, '17, John Walsh, '17, Matthew Dillane, '18, Gavin Freeman, '18, and Dario Spina, '18 earned Honors.  Michael Dillane, '16 won the Gold Medals in Math and History.  Thomas Bertron, '17 earned the Silver Medal in Religion.  Matthew Dillane, '18 won the Gold Medal in Mathematics, History, Science and Classics, and the Silver Medal in English.  Gavin Freeman, '18 won the Silver Medal in Mathematics.
