Local Students Graduate St, Peter's Prep

JERSEY CITY, NJ - Saint Peter’s Preparatory School celebrated its 139th Commencement at Saint Peter’s University on Saturday, June 3, 2017.  The following Cedar Grove and Verona residents graduated and their college destination is indicated:

Cedar Grove:  James McGuire (University of Colorado at Boulder) and Matthew Russo (Massachusetts Maritime Academy).  McGuire graduated Cum Laude and won the Scholar Athlete Award.

Verona:  David Biron (Rochester Institute of Technology), Kyle Carlee (Gettysburg College), Owen Freeman (University of Pittsburgh), Daniel Liggio (University of Notre Dame), Christopher Lonergan (Bucknell University), Michael Nulty (University of Pittsburgh), James Robbins (Saint Louis University), Connor Sullivan (Northeastern University), and John Walsh (University of Dayton).  Liggio graduated Magna Cum Laude and Carlee and Lonergan graduated Cum Laude.  Nulty was presented his diploma by his grandfather, John Nulty, '60.  Daniel Liggio was a National Hispanic Recognized Scholar and won the Gold Medal in Science.  David Biron won the Gold Medal in German.  Kyle Carlee won the Silver Medal in Latin.

LEGO Drive Benefiting Kids with Cancer

A good friend of mine lost his son to cancer at age 10 a few years back. His name was Paul Jimenez aka "Paulie". Since his loss, the family has started a foundation called "Paulie Strong" to help raise awareness and donations for those in need. This March, they are holding a LEGO drive for children with cancer.
