Our Lady of the Lake’s Student Leadership hosted its annual “Minute to Win It fundraiser,” a game show-like event that challenges kids to perform a variety of wacky activities all in the course of one minute. Whether it was moving marshmallows from one end of the table with a straw in your mouth or pulling all of the tissues out of the box with one hand behind your back, the challenge needed to be completed in a minute.

Eighth grader Christian G. took first place while fifth grader, Matteo S. placed second and eighth grader, Jack D., placed third.  Proceeds from the tickets and  baked goods will go to The Michael Aymar Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing financial and instructional support for Catholic school students in grades 5-8.  Michael Aymar, a former OLL teacher, passed away in 2016 from cancer.  His wife, Amanda, attended the event and shared Michael’s story and the inspiration for the foundation. Through entry fees and a delicious bake sale, OLL's Student Leadership raised over $650 to donate to the Foundation.
