TRENTON, NJ — The number of people allowed to gather outdoors in New Jersey will be reduced to 25, and indoor youth sports will be prohibited until 2021 in the state.

The latest sweeping restrictions coming from Governor Phil Murphy would cut the outdoor gathering limits from the current 150 people to 25. Just two weeks ago, that outdoor gathering limit was 500, before the Governor slashed it to 150 beginning Nov. 23.

While indoor sports and organized practices would be banned for school-aged kids from graded K-12, outdoor sports would be allowed to continue. The indoor sports ban begins Saturday, Dec. 5. The ban does not apply to individual indoor lessons, Murphy said Monday.
