CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Cedar Grove police responded to Foodtown on Pompton Ave. on Jan. 7 on report of shoplifting.

According to reports, Ptl. John Smigelsky responded to the grocery store and spoke with management who said a woman had been observed shoplifting.  The 47-year-old Bloomfield woman was arrested when it was determined she had concealed more than $200 in merchandise in her jacket before leaving the store.

She was processed and transported the Essex County Jail for a warrant on unrelated charges.
