VERONA/CEDAR GROVE, NJ – The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Watch for most of New Jersey, including Verona and Cedar Grove, beginning Saturday at 6 a.m. through Sunday at 1 p.m.

As of this writing, the National Weather Service is predicting snow to begin in the area as early as 4 a.m. on Saturday which could turn over to a mixture of sleet and snow in the afternoon before changing back to all snow after 4 p.m.  Snow estimates are three to five inches during the day with an additional three to five inches in the evening.

According to the National Weather Service, a blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibility, which can lead to whiteout conditions and dangerous travel conditions.
