CEDAR GROVE, NJ -  The Cedar Grove Panthers softball team won its second consecutive NJSIAA North 1, Group 1 Championship, shutting out Hasbrouck Heights, 7-0, at home on Tuesday.

Mia Faieta pitched a no hitter with 12 strikeouts and had two hits in the win.  Kali McCabe hit a double to drive in two runs for the Panthers, while Brittney Taylor went 2-for-4 with one RBI.  Kelly Toomey, Gianna Kubu and Katie Peterson each drove in a run for Cedar Grove.

Cedar Grove now advances to the state semifinals and will take on Roselle Park at Caldwell University on Thursday at 4 p.m.
