CEDAR GROVE, NJ - With the first day of school just three weeks away, Cedar Grove Board of Education announced that South End School suffered water damage during Saturday's flash flooding.  

According to a letter from Superintendent Michael Fetherman, 16 classrooms and eight storage areas were impacted.  Fetherman said Paul Davis Recover Reconstruction began working on Sunday morning and crews will be working around the clock to ready for the first day of school on Sept. 5.

"We will provide updates as progress is made and provide you with the necessary assurances that South is safe, sanitized and ready for our children," the letter said.  "Nothing less will be acceptable."
