To the editor:

The 2017 St. Catherine of Siena Carnival was once again very successful and enjoyed a tremendous turnout. In fact, we saw record numbers this year!

On behalf of the SCS Carnival Committee, we would like to thank the entire community for supporting this event. It was a pleasure to see so many Carnival revelers having fun with family and friends.

We especially want to thank the Township of Cedar Grove, including the Clerk’s office, Township Manager, the DPW, our Police Department, and the volunteers at CGARS and the CGFD for their presence and support.

Thanks, too, to our sponsors and supporters: Arctic Falls Spring Water; Deb Ger Electric; Esposito’s Pizza and Deli; Foodtown of Cedar Grove; Gencarelli’s Bakery; The Grasshopper; Robert C. Hess, Esq.; Il Tulipano; Knights of Columbus Council #3632; Gary Laglia - State Farm; Metric Plumbing and Heating; K. Macken Landscaping; Rainbow Food Services; Rare, the Steakhouse; Sandies Specialties; and St. Catherine’s Rosary Ministry.

And a special thanks to our premier sponsors this year: Dr. Matthew J. Peluso Orthodontics, Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, and TAP Into/Verona-Cedar Grove.

We also appreciate the support of the local businesses and neighbors who graciously withstood the traffic and noise that comes with a carnival.

And finally, none of this could have happened if it were not for the invaluable dedication and support of our school and parish staff and the countless volunteers who offered their time and talent to ensure the success of this fun community tradition.

A most sincere thank you to all,

Msgr. Robert Slipe              Kevin Brown            Tony Morano
