St. Luke's to Host Public Event for Postcard Writing About Policy to Legislators

UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ - Do you have an issue that you are concerned about and you want to do something about it? Join together with others to discuss policy and write letters and postcards to government representatives about any concerns on February 25.

St. Luke’s, located at 73 South Fullerton Ave., welcomes anyone and everyone, and supports the equal rights of all. On Saturday, February 25, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall, they will have drop in hours for anyone to stop by, fill out a postcard to any representative of their choosing regarding the issues that matter to each individual.

This is a bi-partisan event, that welcomes EVERYONE of all backgrounds and beliefs in a respectful way. St. Luke’s supports action and we encourage you to attend. This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard about what matters to you. Topics to be discussed are including, but not limited to healthcare, sanctuary cities, education, and even an investigation into Russia’s influence in U.S. affairs, organizers say.

On June 14, 2018 at 12:13 a.m., Ptl. Nicole Witel stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the registration was suspended. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 23 year old male driver from Montclair for driving while suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

Male Body Found Saturday Morning Under Belmar Boardwalk

BELMAR, NJ — A male body was found this morning under the Belmar boardwalk at Ninth Avenue, according to reports.

While the Monmouth County Medical Examiner's Office was at the scene on Ocean Avenue at about 8:15 a.m. on June 16, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office referred all questions to the Belmar Police Department.
