Stop & Shop Recalls More Chicken Products Due to Bacteria

PURCHASE, NY — After pulling certain Barber stuffed chicken products from its shelves earlier this week, Stop & Shop announced Thursday that it is also recalling 12-ounce packages of frozen Bell & Evans Gluten-Free Chicken Breast Nuggets and Koch Foods Chicken Oven Cravers. All three recalls were due to possible bacteria contamination.

The nugget recall was announced after Murry's Inc. issued its own recall due to possible contamination with staphylococcal bacteria. Although Murray’s has only indicated that a "best by March 25, 2016" is impacted, the supermarket pulled all production codes of this product “out of extreme caution.”

Customers may return the nuggets for a full refund. Additional questions can be directed to Murry's Inc. at 1-800-638-0215.

The Oven Cravers recall follows a recall by Koch Foods, Inc., due to possible contamination with salmonella bacteria. These products are affected:

Koch Oven Cravers Chicken Parmesan - 10 OZ

Customers can return these products to Stop & Shop for a full refund. Like the nuggets, all production codes of this product have been pulled out of extreme caution, Stop & Shop announced, but the supplier has only indicated that packages labeled best by 7/14/2016 through 10/10/2016 are impacted. Additional questions can be directed to Koch Foods, Inc. at 1-844-277-6802.
