Support for Kerry Peterson from Former Councilman and Mayor

As a former Councilman and Mayor who has experienced the Paragano Park Ridge Estates development and the loss of the Federal Township designation, I pen this letter with a valid concern, just as many of Cedar Grove’s residents have, in regard to the many challenges ahead.  One may easily assume all issues are important but possibly the most concerning issue is the future development of over 450 housing units.  The integrity and present character of the town as you are cognizant of, will face a strong challenge for years to come.

The Township Council will play an integral part of this process.  With the May election impending and three seats open, those whom will fill those seats are extremely important.  That leads me to pursue the answers to, “Exactly, what are the attributes one should possess in order to be an outstanding candidate and hence an outstanding Council member?”

How about a life-long resident whom at 16 years old volunteered for the Cedar Grove Ambulance and Rescue Squad along in later years volunteering on the FSA, Women’s Club and various youth clubs or actually someone whom accepted the monumental challenge of chairing the Township’s Centennial Gala nine years ago?

Surely, a great candidate would be someone you have personally known and respected for many years and whose husband and his family you have known and respected for over 45 years.

Lastly, you would most certainly want a candidate with a fresh perspective, strong personality, and one that possesses impeccable integrity and ethics in order to impart a common sense and sincere approach in problem solving the challenges that lie ahead.

Yes, we are fortunate to have one in Kerry Peterson.  She is what has actually been stated of the aforementioned attributes one hopes for in a candidate.  Kerry and Mark have a stake in the future of Cedar Grove as they raise their daughters and she will most certainly care for you as part of her family.  Kerry will make you proud you have cast your vote for her on May 9.

At a recent forum, I have also met and spoken at length with her running mates; Joe Cicala and Robbie Vargo, whom I also believe deserve your vote.
