The Montclair Inn Receives Outdoor Beautification Grant from The Montclair Foundation

MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Montclair Shared Housing Association, which owns and operates The Montclair Inn, gladly announced the receipt of a grant for $9, 850.00 to renovate the front porch and back patio of the senior residence.

The Board of Trustees and the Executive Director at The Montclair Inn devised plans to renovate the outdoor spaces at The Inn during their strategic planning session in early 2016.  According to Executive Director, Joy Kay “This renovation will not only enhance the appearance of The Inn for visitors and community members, but it will make the front porch and the back patio more comfortable for our residents.  We are grateful to The Montclair Foundation for this grant which will upgrade the exterior of this beautiful home.” Preliminary plans for the renovation include reconstruction of the existing front porch, steps, and barrier free accessible ramp, a new rear paver patio, and new furniture for the front porch and back patio.

The Montclair Foundation’s grant program is intended to support a broad range of activities and organizations that contribute to the quality of life in Montclair and its environs.
