MONTCLAIR, NJ - Verona High School lacrosse's former goalkeeper Amanda Maguire is making a splash at the collegiate level. A freshman at Montclair State University, Maguire was named both Goaltender of the Year and the Rookie of the Year by the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
She is the only freshman named first-team-all-conference, finishing her first NJAC season ranked second in conference-only goals against average (6.17), conference only save percentage (.589) and conference-only saves (53) according to the NJAC. Maguire also currently ranks second in all-competition saves percentage (.483).
A 2016 graduate of VHS, Maguire collected more than 700 saves during her high school career.
