VERONA, NJ - The Township of Verona welcomes the Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC), which is a statewide community health initiative in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. The MWC promotes healthier, happier lifestyles in communities around the nation by implementing programs and events for community members to take part in. This campaign is aimed to reach people of all ages such as the youth, seniors, employees and the overall community health with the goal to create a more active and healthier way of living throughout the town. The team is made up of Municipal Employees including Police & Fire personnel, Local Business Owners, Health & Wellness Professionals and Residents.

Verona is lucky enough to have easy access to several outdoor recreation areas including parks, fields, a track, basketball courts, an Olympic size pool, playgrounds, biking and hiking trails and more! There is truly something available for every age and skill level no matter what activity keeps you active and healthy.

To kick off the MWC, a Health and Wellness Fair will be taking place in the Verona Community Center Ballroom on July 27 from 11:30am-2:30pm. There will be various vendors from local businesses in Verona to promote their health and wellness tips, answer questions and share some of their knowledge as well as some of their products. Programs within this campaign include Youth in Motion, Seniors in Motion, Employees in Motion and Communities in Motion. Feel free to bring a friend or family member and stop by to support your community while checking out your local businesses!

VERONA, NJ - Calling All Golfers -- the Verona Music Parents Association is hosting its 3rd Annual Spring Golf Outing on May 9. at the Black Bear Golf Club in Franklin, NJ.
