VERONA, NJ - Did you know that many Verona families will struggle to provide school supplies for their children this Fall? The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is determined to ease this burden through its “Packs with Purpose” fundraiser and school supply collection.
Last Fall, due to the overwhelming generosity of the community and their partnership with Walgreens-Verona, the Verona Juniors were able to fill over 40 backpacks. The Juniors worked with Verona’s Health & Social Services Program Coordinator, Mary Farrell, to ensure that the backpacks were distributed to those who need them the most.
The Juniors and Walgreens-Verona hope to match last year’s success and look to the community for support. To help, residents can donate an item or two from the “Wish List,” which can be found at www.veronajuniors.org, or by making a donation online at www.veronajuniors.org/packs-with-purpose.html.
Collection boxes are located at the Verona Community Center, HardBodyz Fitness and Platinum Fitness through August 7, 2018. The Juniors are also willing to pick up supplies from your house. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org pick-up instructions or if you have any questions.
