VERONA, NJ - The Verona Lions are working with the Verona Health Department to provide Verona residents with transportation to and from the doctor when needed.
If transportation to and from the doctor is needed, residents can arrange a ride by calling the Verona Health Department. The Verona Lions donated a car to the township for this purpose and this service is provided by the Verona Health Department.
During the month of March the Lions volunteer their time to drive township residents. Driving is provided by Township employees during other months.
This valuable service has helped hundreds of residents when they need to make doctor appointments but lack the necessary transportation.
If you would like to take advantage of this service contact the Verona Health Department at 973-857-4800 to arrange a ride.
The Verona Lions is an International service organization that has been providing volunteer service to Verona since 1951. If you would like to be a part of a great volunteer organization that gives back to our town contact Myron Spector, President of the Verona Lions, firstname.lastname@example.org.
