WEST ORANGE, NJ — A Verona man is facing charges after attempting to rob a West Orange bank on Tuesday morning.
According to police reports, Christopher Morales, 38, was charged with second-degree robbery and resisting arrest after passing a series of post-it notes to a bank employee at Wells Fargo on Pleasant Valley Way.
According to bank officials, Morales entered the bank about 10:45 a.m. and attempted to take out a loan, but was denied. He then handed a bank employee several post-it notes, of which at least one demanded money.
Morales was arrested at the scene and is being held at the Essex County Jail. No one was injured during the incident.
