VERONA, NJ – The Township of Verona is offering up to a $500 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism of the Liberty Field and the Hilltop Recreation Complex.
According to the press release, on the evening of March 23, the Liberty and Freedom Fields at the Hilltop Recreation Complex were vandalized, causing substantial damage to the property.
“Millions of dollars and countless man-hours have been spent to redevelop this complex to meet the ever growing recreational need of this community. It’s a shame that some people have little respect and would maliciously cause this damage," Verona Township Manager Matthew Cavallo said. “With the help of the Verona community, I am confident that information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the people responsible will be forthcoming.”
