Verona Resident and Oak Knoll Student Earns All-State, All American Lacrosse Honors

SUMMIT, NJ – Verona resident Annabelle Zebrowski will represent New Jersey on the Underclass Team at the Under Armour All-American Tournament.  

Zebrowski, a rising senior at Oak Knoll, enjoyed a banner year, having eclipsed the 100-goal plateau during the 2017 season. Her career statistics exceed 130 goals to go with more than 50 assists.  She will compete in the All-American Tournament on July 1, at the Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University, Maryland. She was also chosen Group 1 First-Team and Second Team All-Group.

Zebrowski intends to continue her athletic career at Oak Knoll, committing to play at Georgetown.

The All-State honors come off the heels of Zebrowski being honored by being named to U.S. Lacrosse’s All-American and All-Academic teams.

Zebrowski was named an Academic All-American. Among the criteria for this feat, apart from skills on the field, is to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.7 since freshman year.

On June 14, 2018 at 12:13 a.m., Ptl. Nicole Witel stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the registration was suspended. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 23 year old male driver from Montclair for driving while suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

Male Body Found Saturday Morning Under Belmar Boardwalk

BELMAR, NJ — A male body was found this morning under the Belmar boardwalk at Ninth Avenue, according to reports.

While the Monmouth County Medical Examiner's Office was at the scene on Ocean Avenue at about 8:15 a.m. on June 16, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office referred all questions to the Belmar Police Department.
