Verona Resident Inducted into SUNY New Paltz Honors Program

Rachel Gumbrecht is a new member of the SUNY New Paltz honors program.

NEW PALTZ, NY-- Rachel Gumbrecht, a 2015 graduate of Verona High School, was recently inducted into the SUNY Nw Paltz Honors Program for the fall of 2017. 

The Honors Program's goal is to  develop skills from a conceptual point of view in a diverse multidisciplinary analytical environment that to nurture independent thinking, creativity, respect and social responsibility. The program promotes deep engagement with ideas through an innovative pedagogy and creative interdisciplinary curriculum.

To be considered and maintain membership in the Honors Program, students must maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher; complete at least 40 hours of community service; and present a thesis reflecting the skills and relationships they built over the course of their college career.
