VERONA, NJ - Skyler Freedman, of the Verona High School Women's Lacrosse team, played goalie and won the championship at the Delaware Lacrosse 5v5 Clinic and Round Robin Tournament on Sunday at the University of Delaware.

This “House” team was made of up 7 girls from NJ, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Connecticut ,who had never met before until game day. The clinic and tournament – a competitive 5v5 contest featuring multiple teams in two divisions playing in a round robin format – was hosted by the University of Delaware Women’s Lacrosse Team.

Coach Kateri Linville and assistants organized the event, which included a one hour skills session conducted by members of the Lady Blue Hen team. The event featured nine short-sided fields and a series of seven-minute matches. All teams played multiple round robin games over the course of three hours. The winners of each division, based on their respective records in round robin play, were paired to play in a championship game.
