WEST ORANGE, NJ - Cedar Grove wrestling placed fourth in the team competition and had four wrestlers stand on the podium -- two on top -- at the Essex County Wrestling Tournament at Codey Arena on Friday.  

Anthony Clarizio earned his spot in the history books, becoming the 10th wrestler to win four career titles at the ECT.  He defeated Seton Hall's Charlie Cunningham in the 132 lbs. division, in a 4-2 sudden victory decision.  Clarizio was also named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.

Joe McCarthy also took the top spot, defeating West Orange's Sebastian Rawls 10-5 to earn the 182 lbs. title.

Dom Tafuri battled his way into the finals by defeating Caldwell's Ricky Caamano 10-4.  He took 2nd place after falling to Seton Hall's Larry Melchionda 8-3 in the 106 lbs. finals.

Matt Lay took third place in the 145 lbs. division, falling to Jon Bartley of West Essex, in a close 4-3 semifinal match.  

Here's how the rest of the team fared:

Antonio Cuffari finished 5th at 113 lbs.

Will Dye finished 6th at 138 lbs.

Dillon Jennings finished 7th at 170 lbs.

Joe Tanti finished 6th at 220 lbs.

Sean Dougan finished 5th at 285 lbs.
