Wrestling: Verona to Compete in District 10 Tourney, Two VHS Wrestlers Earn Top Seed

VERONA, NJ - Verona will head to Nutley this weekend for the District 10 Wrestling Tournament.  First round is Friday at 6 p.m. at Nutley High School.  The semifinals will be 10 a.m. Saturday with the finals tentatively scheduled for 3 p.m.  

Ten teams will compete:  Becton, Columbia, Delbarton, Newark-East Side, Nutley, Orange, Union City, Verona, West Orange and Woodridge.

Wrestlers Frank Gabriele (132 lbs), who recently earned his 100th career win, and Nick Fierro (160 lbs.), who won the Essex County Title, have both earned top seed at their weight.  A complete list of wrestlers follows:
