On May 13, 2019 at 7:24 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. It was determined that the driver, a 39 year old male from East Orange, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On May 14, 2019 at 8:06 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle being operated without a front license plate. An investigation resulted in the arrest of a front seat passenger, a 31 year old female from Paterson, for an outstanding traffic warrant. She was released after posting the required bail.

On May 16, 2019 at 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a Highfield Lane address for report of a car burglary. The homeowner observed the actor inside his vehicle. The actor then fled the area in a waiting vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.

On May 16, 2019 at 4:32 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo pursued a vehicle that had just been reported stolen by North Caldwell Police. Ptl. Grigolo observed a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle on Pompton Avenue. As he attempted to investigate the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed. He briefly pursued the vehicle before terminating the pursuit in West Orange.

On May 18, 2019 Detective Carolyn Lynch and Detective John Smigelsky interviewed a suspect involving the theft of jewelry from a Skytop Road address. The suspect, a 23 year old female from Newark, was arrested after admitting to stealing the jewelry. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On May 19, 2019 at 8:07 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. It was determined that the operator, a 35 year old male from Newark, was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
