Cedar Grove Historical Society Meeting

The Cedar Grove Historical Society Presents “Progressive Parks for a Progressive Era:  The Essex County Park System 1910-1920

Join the Cedar Grove Historical Society on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, to hear Kathy Kauhl, Archive Specialist for Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, speak about the Essex County Parks.  She will speak about the park system in a dramatic time of growth and change.  The period was defined by Thomas Edison’s experiments, the proliferation of automobile travel and the World War I. Learn how these events and others impacted the parks during the decade and into the future.  The meeting will be held at the Cedar Grove Public Library beginning at 7:30 p.m.  There will be a short business meeting before the program.
