Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, I have given a lot of thought to the goodness that surrounds me. We hear too much about the pandemic, politics and social unrest, that I thought it would be good to think about positive thoughts.  

I want to highlight what I consider to be the crown jewel of Cedar Grove: Morgan’s Farm.

Each year the Cedar Grove Historical Society holds a Pumpkin and Apple Sale in honor of Edith Morgan and her son Courtenay Morgan.  In the fall of each year the Morgans sold pumpkins and apples in the front of the Morgan farmhouse.  Mrs. Morgan passed away in 1961, but Courtenay, the last farmer in Cedar Grove, continued the tradition until his death in 1985 at the age of 86.
