"CGHS is proud to stand together with fellow high schools to celebrate our seniors and their contributions to our school and the Cedar Grove Community over the last four years," stated CGHS principal Rick Mangili in an email to parents. "Let those Friday night lights shine brightly to bring our community together to recognize the CGHS Class of 2020!"

"VHS is proud of our graduates and miss them very much," said VHS principal Josh Cogdill via Twitter.

CGHS also encouraged parents and students to participate while continuing to respect social distancing rules.  The Mangili's email stated:

How can parents help?

*** Please note that students/parents are not permitted on the stadium grounds during this time of social distancing***

(1) In addition to the stadium lights, we also ask all senior parents each Friday night during the month of May to have their front porch light on or place a battery operated candle in their front window at 8:20 PM to symbolize that you have a graduate of the class of 2020 living there.

(2)  Freshman, Sophomores & Juniors we need your help!   Please support the seniors by getting your favorite noisemaker (cowbells, horns, whistles etc..) and make as much noise as possible at 8:20 PM to show your support for the Class of 2020.

(3)  Seniors this is for you!  Help us celebrate YOU ! Get your favorite noisemaker as well, and take a selfie picture or video celebrating YOURSELF and send your photo or video to Ms. Rubino at rubino.alexa@cgschools.org so we can post it on our Instagram account @cgpantherpride.

(4) A member of the Cedar Grove Police Department has graciously offered to video and take photos of our lit field which will be posted on our district website and on our school Instagram @cgpantherpride.  Once again students/parents are not permitted on the stadium grounds during this time of social distancing.
