VERONA, NJ - For more than 35 years, the Friends of the Verona Library have been running book sales to support the library’s programs for children, teens and adults.  Over the last two years, the $5-A-Bag book sale has taken place at the end of the summer, and this year’s event will be on August 26-27 on the lower level of the library from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.  All book sale items are donated by the community.

“Volunteers are busy all year sorting the donated books to present the best available to the public in the sales during the year,” said Sandra Mahoney, Book Sale Chair.

The sale will include more than 4,000 gently used adult and children’s fiction and nonfiction books and DVDs.  Bags are supplied, and cash and checks are accepted.
