BLOOMFIELD, NJ - On Monday at approximately 7:30 a.m. Bloomfield Police Officers responded to 133 Montgomery Street (A & A Mini Market) on report of a burglary.
The owner of the business was on scene and told officers that someone tampered with the front door of the business. Officers everified that the premises was clear of any suspects and then spoke with the owner of the business. It was reported that there was approximately $1200 worth of NJ Lottery tickets taken from the store.
Bloomfield Police Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and retrieved video footage from the store. After reviewing the video, it showed that the front door of the store was opened and a person entered the store and stole the Lottery tickets. The suspect was described as a Caucasian male with a full beard, large black earring, wearing glasses, a grey hooded sweatshirt and a dark color jacket.
Bloomfield Police Detectives investigated this incident and identified Dennis Forlenzo age 29 of Bloomfield, NJ as the suspect. The suspect was arrested by Detectives on Tuesday and charged with one count of theft and has a pending court.
