CEDAR GROVE, NJ - With National Weather Service issuing an excessive heat warning for Friday through Sunday, Cedar Grove announced it will open the Public Library at 1 Municipal Plaza for use as a cooling station for residents.

In addition to its usual 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday hours, the library will be open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  with water available.

An excessive heat warning is issued when the combination of heat and humidity is expected to make it feel like 105 degress or greater.  The warning is in effect from noon on Friday through 8 p.m. on Sunday.  The heat index is expected to reach 105 on Friday and 110 on Saturday and Sunday.
