CEDAR GROVE, NJ - The Cedar Grove School District scheduled an early dismissal for Thursday to allow for staff training on home instruction in case the Department of Health requires the long-term closure of schools to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
The email sent to parents stated: "While there remains no immediate threat in our schools relative to the Coronavirus, it’s important for us to develop a plan for Home Instruction should the Department of Health require us to close."
In addition, the email noted that the district's custodial staff had performed a comprehensive cleaning and disinfection of the schools over the weekend, and will continue to do so on a daily basis.
North End, South End and the Cedar Grove High school will dismiss at 12:30 p.m., and the Memorial Middle School will dismiss at 12:20 p.m. Aftercare will be available at NE, SE and MMS.
