WOODLAND PARK, NJ - A 40-year-old man from Connecticut who sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face at the Woodland Park Range, 1267 McBride Ave., on Sunday, Feb. 23 is expected to recover, police report. 

Marv Brice, 40, from Stamford Conn., is still in critical condition, said Woodland Park Police Department Capt. John Uzzalino, and he faces a "long road to recovery." 

Uzzalino said that the Detective Bureau is still investigating the incident. Brice has been unable to fully understand and respond to questioning due to sedation. Once he is coherent enough to understand questioning, police will complete the investigation.

Brice and his girlfriend traveled to the range and rented guns to shoot. Uzzalino said it was his first time there. 

The shooting occured in a stall and no one else was inured and the range was closed while the investigation was ongoing.
